Neil was a wonderful sales person! He was nice to talk to, explained things clearly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole car buying process! Thank you, Neil!! Also, the finance manager, Arie, is fantastic! He made the paperwork a seamless process. Overall, I had a great experience with the Mission Bay VW team. Thank you!
Had a very easy and smooth purchase of a Golf Sportwagen with the help of Rian!! He was my guy and really worked with me to make sure I could drive off with the car I had set my heart on! I communicated that I was intent on buying the car and he made it happen!
The service department's communication regarding the estimated completion time lacks transparency. During my recent visit, my car was in their care for approximately five days, a recurrence of a previous instance last year. On that occasion, my car, which wouldn't start, left me without transportation for five days before they identified the need for a new battery. Improved communication would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.
We bought an ID.4 for our family, & Alejandro was kind, professional, & helpful during the entire process. Alejandro was transparent & honest. He was eager to show us how to use the features of the car, & even offered to help us at a later point if we ever have any questions with the features. He went above & beyond, helping us to transport our toddler’s car toys when we made the switch between our trade-in & our new car. I highly recommend working with Alejandro!
ID.4 was purchased with faulty roof screen, knowing it would be rectified. Took ~8 months to get part (fine). Scheduled repair. At the time of scheduling, gave full info on the repair, which was understandably non-routine. When I dropped off the car on a Tuesday, was told it could be done by Friday. As it turns out, no one had prepared for this repair, knew how to proceed, who would be doing the work, how long it might take, or even where the necessary part was. They clearly figured out on-the-fly how to do the repair. The car stayed at VW Service for 2 weeks. Communication was horrible and there was finger-pointing amongst service staff. "I'll definitely be in touch today" was not followed through twice, including one day where the service rep wasn't even in that day he was supposed to get it all done. I've purchased cars with you before and service has been pretty great. This was just AWFUL. On top of all this, the car was returned filthy.
When I made an appointment I told them I needed to wait for my car while the service was being performed. When I checked in, I told them, once again, that I was going to be waiting for my car. He told me 1.5 hours, which was fine. I was fine waiting, as I brought some work with me. After 2 hours, I went to ask how it was going and was told that they were wrapping up and it would be a few more minutes. I waited about another hour without any updates from the service person. When I sent to ask, he was very dismissive and not all that helpful. In fact, he made me feel like I was being annoying. We have a Kia and the service experience there is very different. A much more "customer friendly" process, I must say. Love my car, but don't love the service experience so far.
I recently purchased an ID 4 from Alejandro (Alex) at Mission Bay VW. I love my new car and had a great buying experience.
Alejandro was very knowledgeable about the ID 4. He answered all of my questions and was able to ease the apprehension that I had with getting an electric vehicle.
He was also very patient and understanding personable. He was never pushy. I would strongly recommend working with him if you are looking for a new VW.
The service was ok, but I was told I would get a call with an update and didn't get a call until nearly closing time. The man who called said we had spoken early, but he never called. I had asked to have a few specific things checked with the car and they weren't done. I think they were really busy that day, so I understand if things happen but I feel like a few things were missed this day.
